Call for Demonstrations

The ER 2013 Demo session provides an exciting and highly interactive way to demonstrate conceptual modeling research, and an excellent way to advertise the applicability of the results. Proposals should be focused on new conceptual modeling developments, advances in applying conceptual modeling, or innovative use of conceptual modeling techniques. The session is focused on academic and research software, and it is not intended for the demonstration of commercial products.


Important Dates:
  • Proposals: May 31th, 2013
  • Notification: June 28th, 2013
  • Camera-ready: July 15th, 2013

Submission Guidelines:

All submitted proposals must be formatted according to the instructions for submission format for research submissions. Demo proposals must be no more than four pages long. These page limits include all parts of the paper: title, abstract, body, and bibliography. Proposals should clearly describe what will be demonstrated and how the contribution will be illustrated interactively. Proposals could include a URL that showed a preliminary version of the demo (e.g., screenshots, or even an interactive program).


Submission

Submissions have to be in accordance with the Springer LNCS guidelines. Templates are available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. Submissions must be sent to both demos chairs at carson.woo@ubc.ca and kamal@iiit.ac.in.


Publication

Accepted contributions for the demonstrations session will be published in the main conference proceedings on a Lecture Notes in Computer Science Issue which will be available at the conference.
