            Remark:

This workshop is only intended for Hong Kong primary and secondary
school heads and teachers sponsored by Education and Manpower Bureau
(EMB). Cantonese and English will be used.
			Abstract:
Through a case study of the deployment of a
Web-based Learning System, WELS, Professor Ip will demonstrate how
WELS can support school-based curriculum in teaching and learning.
He will also show us how schools, teachers, and education content
providers, through a content reusable model, can discover, organize
and harness school-based teaching and learning resources. Finally,
Professor Ip will share his insight and research on the applications
of emerging technologies, such as multimodal man-machine interface
and mobile computing, in teaching and learning management. Examples
include the visualization of WEBSAM student learning data on a
mobile device and a smart environment for art education.
